There are plenty of myths about lecture capture: that it will cause a drop in attendance, it's a management tool, it's an easy and cheap answer to disability support (the answer: it's complicated).
But if your goal is to provide your students with a rich and immersive learning experience, then it might form a useful contribution to that goal - especially once you factor in all the possibilities provided by a second camera.
