• Endorsed means the course content has been checked to ensure it gives you the skills and knowledge employers in that field are looking for.

• Accredited often comes with extra benefits while you study, like professional membership, insurance or exam exemptions.

• Recognised means your degree meets national standards for that profession, showing you're prepared to work safely and effectively once qualified.

Whichever term is used, it's a sign your course has been shaped by the people who hire in that industry, so what you learn lines up with what employers need.

Many of Solent's business courses are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This means you can graduate with an additional CMI Level 5 Management and Leadership qualification, boosting your employability and giving you an edge in the job market.

We're committed to equipping you with the skills and experience you need to succeed in the competitive job market. Across our course portfolio, we have embedded professional practice modules to support you to successfully take up work placement opportunities and to confidently enter the graduate market.

We will also guide you to develop your professional profile and personal brand to enhance your employability alongside our networking events where you will connect directly with employers. Each module contributes to your professional growth, with outputs directly applicable to your CV.

You'll be assessed primarily through coursework, including reports, essays, and presentations. 

You can make the decision on which pathway to follow during your first year. The first year is common to all pathways, giving you a broad foundation in business management. In your second year, you will be able to either chose your options for the second year or transfer onto one of our specialised pathways.

Our courses are currently not designed for part-time delivery. All classes are delivered on campus and supported by a wealth of materials in our virtual learning environment.
