What's the Year of Engineering?

Engineers from Southampton Solent – our academics, students and alumni – are teaming up with government and hundreds of industry partners as part of the Year of Engineering (YoE).

The YoE is a national campaign to inspire the next generation of engineers, and widen the pool of young people who join the profession.

Throughout 2018, we’ll be giving young people (and their parents) the chance to take a closer look at engineering – sharing stories of creativity, variety and innovation in the huge range of industries that rely on engineering expertise.
