2018 is now well underway, and Solent University has some exciting new opportunities for employers thinking of spending their apprenticeship levy or taking advantage of the discounts available from the Government.

It’s all go at Solent – we now offer the opportunity to recruit apprentices for employers wanting to use our higher and degree programmes. Having been awarded the maximum funding by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to support smaller businesses, we will be able to offer a new, useful tool in helping businesses grow and develop their own talent.

We’re also launching a number of new apprenticeships this year. The digital solutions degree and operations management apprenticeships have started and will be followed closely by another cohort of our hugely popular chartered management degree fast track programme and our new MBA apprenticeship.

In September we look forward to starting our range of construction courses from civil engineering to architecture, quantity surveying and more, as well as our accelerated construction degree option.

Our healthcare provision is growing to support local employment in the wake of Brexit; in addition to our Healthcare Practitioner higher apprenticeship, we will be offering the Trainee Nurse Associate and Register Nurse degree apprenticeship to upskill UK talent.

Other new course developments include HR, accounting, facilities management and engineering – all due to launch in September.

Whether a large or small business, we take skills needs seriously and support internal staff development or talent acquisition through our range of employer driven courses. For more info please contact us by email ask@solent.ac.uk or ring 023 8201 3039.
