Summer Degree Shows 2018

Students are getting ready to showcase their work at the annual summer degree shows, launching on Friday 8 June.

From 8-14 June, as the 2017/18 academic year comes an end, students from the University’s School of Art, Design and Fashion will share their work for staff, students and the public to view.

Peter Lloyd, Director of Solent’s School of Art, Design and Fashion says: “Solent’s end of year degree shows are an excellent opportunity to join our students in celebrating the culmination of three years of intense and challenging study. In addition to joining the celebrations, there will also be the very rare chance to purchase the work of future stars of the creative industries at a very early point in their career.”

The School of Art, Design and Fashion delivers a variety of courses from fine art, graphic design and photography through to fashion and construction management, and there will be an eclectic mix of student work for guests to view. 

Student work will be on display in the University’s state of the art Spark building and its art and design studios, Below Bar.

You can also book to watch the much admired fashion show, which this year will include work from 14 BA (Hons) Fashion students, showing six collection pieces each. This year’s fashion show will also include work from four students who were recently selected to appear on the catwalk at London Graduate Fashion Week – a first for the University.

To secure a seat to watch the fashion show, which is being held in the Atrium of the Spark from 7:30pm.

• Saturday 9 June, 10am - 4pm: Exhibition (alongside the University's open day)
• Monday 11 June, 10am - 7pm: Exhibition
• Tuesday 12 June, 10am - 7pm: Exhibition
• Wednesday 13 June, 10am - 4pm: Exhibition
• Thursday 14 June, 10am - 4pm: Exhibition
