On the water

Second year English students recently turned publishers with the launch of their book, On the water. The official event was held at Waterstones in WestQuay and included live readings – with the first copy of the book purchased by Vice-Chancellor Professor Graham Baldwin.

The book was curated by Solent students and staff, and was produced in collaboration with Solent Press. Its creators deem it a creative writing anthology – featuring a range of work produced by writers and artists located in and around Southampton. Over 100 pieces of writing were submitted for review, with only 35 chosen for the final publication.

On the water is on sale at Waterstones WestQuay and online on Indiegogo.
