Solent reports highest ever student satisfaction score in this year’s National Student Survey.

27th July 2018

Solent University is pleased to report its highest ever student satisfaction score in this year’s National Student Survey (NSS), published today (27 July 2018).

Solent scored very highly across a number of areas, with 83% of our students satisfied overall with their time at the University.

The University was also ranked top 25 in the country for Academic Support and Learning Opportunities.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Graham Baldwin said: “I am delighted that we have seen an increase in overall satisfaction this year, and that the great work that goes on across the University has been reflected in our highest ever score, especially against a drop in the sector average for the second year running.”

Recording its largest ever response rate of 80%, the University scored above the sector average for six of the nine survey areas: learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, academic support, learning resources, learning community, and student voice.

Professor Baldwin added: “It is particularly pleasing that we scored highly in these areas of the survey, as these are key priorities within our University strategy.”
