Second year Game Art students are proud to launch ‘CGA Expo’, an exhibition displaying their game artwork.

Students will be presenting a selection of photogrammetry, which is the art of extracting 3D information from photos, and videogame artwork for the local community.

‘CGA (Computer Games Art) Expo’ looks to provide valuable insight into current videogame art techniques, as well as a platform for the students to showcase their work.

Dr Nick Hampton, Game Art lecturer at Solent University says:

"'CGA Expo’ will exhibit our second year Game Art student's fresh, relevant and exciting artwork. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the students to show their work to the public, and for the public to find out more about current videogame art techniques, including photogrammetry. I think the event will be a great experience for everyone, students and visitors alike."

When asked about the preparation behind the exhibition William Poy, a second year Game Art student, commented:

"It feels rewarding to be able to showcase artwork that we have worked hard on this semester. The fact that we, as a cohort of students, have worked together to organise this even also gives me a sense of pride."

‘CGA Expo’ is open to the public on Friday 08 April (1pm-4pm) in The Spark building, at the far end of The Whitebeam room (TS114), book your free ticket here, it’s a fantastic opportunity for members of the public and prospective students to see examples of students’ work.
