Gazing at tourism
This interactive session uses photographs to engage students in a discussion about the multi-faceted nature of travel and tourism. Photography plays a key role in the tourism experience for both tourists and the tourism industry and the gaze is much discussed in tourism literature. Photo elicitation in tourism is also a very current research method and an interesting starting point for further discussion.
