  • Graduated from Keele University with a First Class Honours degree in physiotherapy in 2007.
  • In 2013 Tom gained a therapeutic acupuncture qualification.

Professional experience

  • Developed a wealth of knowledge and experience in various roles as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist (MSK) in a number of healthcare settings.
  • Five years' experience as an MSK physiotherapist across two NHS Trusts.
  • Worked as the first team physiotherapist for Basingstoke Rugby Club and as physiotherapist for Portsmouth Football Club Academy.
  • Worked as a senior physiotherapist for LB Healthcare.
  • Worked with elite young athletes funded through the Hampshire Talented Athlete Scheme.
  • Tom has an interest in hydrotherapy and rheumatology.

Professional and academic qualifications

Kate graduated from Cardiff University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also a UK anti-doping accredited adviser.

Professional experience

Kate has worked with a variety of different sports teams, including Cardiff City Football Club Academy, Hockey Wales, and the Welsh Football Association. Her role involved the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions along with pitch side trauma and first aid management. Kate also has experience in lecturing in functional anatomy at Bournemouth University.

Her role at Solent is Head Physiotherapist of the High Performance Academy. Alongside this role, she also works part-time with AFC Bournemouth Academy.

Drawing skills from her various positions, Kate has adopted a holistic approach to treating patients and uses a variety of manual therapy techniques to supplement her exercise rehab skills.
