Our accountancy and finance courses are accredited by ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, AIA and IFA and in most cases, this means you'll gain exemptions from their professional qualifications, fast-tracking your journey to becoming a chartered accountant while studying. 

You’ll gain hands‑on experience using tools such as Solent’s Bloomberg Suite, which provides real‑time financial and market data used across global industries. Courses also include case studies, simulations, live client projects and opportunities to attend guest lectures from industry speakers, including those from PwC and other major organisations.

Across our course portfolio, we have embedded professional practice modules to support you to successfully take up work placement opportunities and to confidently enter the graduate market.

All the undergraduate courses in this subject area offer a placement year option, meaning you can gain vital industry experience before graduation.

Graduates commonly progress into roles such as accountant, auditor, tax specialist, financial analyst, fund manager and other financial services careers. Recent graduates have secured positions at well‑known companies including Deloitte, Smith & Williamson and John Lewis. Economics/finance students also move into banking, investment management, economic consultancy and roles in regulatory bodies and government.

Our courses are currently not designed for part-time delivery. All classes are delivered on campus and supported by a wealth of materials in our virtual learning environment.
