A computing degree opens a range of IT careers from applications development to web design. Job roles could include:

Your application should highlight your passion for computing and any relevant experience you have. Include details about any programming languages you know, projects you've worked on, and any extracurricular activities related to tech. Make sure to showcase your problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for the subject. 

In a cyber security role, you will protect the world from hackers, viruses, and cyber-attacks using a variety of equipment – such as routers and switches, as well as reconnaissance and scanning computer network systems. You will investigate the methods that hackers use to compromise vulnerable systems and look at mechanisms that can be used to secure them against attack. Tasks may include monitoring network traffic, responding to security incidents, and conducting threat research. 

'Accredited', 'endorsed' or 'recognised' all mean a professional body has reviewed your course and confirmed it meets their standards. Each comes with slightly different perks.

• Endorsed means the course content has been checked to ensure it gives you the skills and knowledge employers in that field are looking for.
• Accredited often comes with extra benefits while you study, like professional membership, insurance or exam exemptions.
