Marketing strategy day
At Solent, it’s important that students get the opportunity to experience real-world learning. That’s why every year, our third year marketing students study ‘Strategic Marketing within the Business’, a key unit that brings together all the elements taught within the degree. Over the course of three intensive days, students are divided into teams and make real time decisions on the sales, distribution, research and development and advertising of products within a competitive environment.

International Business and Marketing Week
Each year, over the spring, a network of 12 universities across Europe put on international business and marketing weeks that see students given a real-world marketing project for a partner company of the host university.

Additional qualifications
In addition to a traditional degree, the marketing programme also offers you access to a high level of professional qualifications. Additional qualifications include the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM), PRINCE2 project management and Google Analytics.

Each year Solent holds a 'meet the professionals' event. This is a networking event for students to talk and network with industry professionals and gain an insightful understanding of the sector that they were most interested in.
