Course overview

Gain in depth understanding of how to effectively manage all elements relating to a construction project, from pre-construction to handover on this Construction Site Manager Degree Apprenticeship.

This degree apprenticeship is predominately focused on meeting the needs of main contractors, and upon successful completion, you will be qualified for automatic Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute Of Building with no further assessment required, as well as having a BSc (Hons) Construction Management.

Throughout the course you will develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the role of management professionals in construction, as defined by the professional bodies, and its application in different contexts within the built environment. Studying a range of professionally focused modules including Technology of Complex Buildings, Maintenance of Buildings and Services, and Strategic Construction Management. 

At the heart of the course is the development of problem-solving skills, with the course providing you with the knowledge to provide sound and justified management advice and guidance relating to production in a variety of different formats. Development of technical writing and presentation skills takes place throughout the course.

What does this course lead to?

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, graduates will be able to undertake a wide variety of construction cost management roles at chartered level, such as site manager, project manager, planner or build manager.

Who is this course is for?

This course is primarily aimed at those who have already successfully completed the Construction Site Supervisor Technician apprenticeship or who have obtained a relevant HNC and are looking to develop their career.  Applicants must be in suitable employment to be enrolled on this course.

Digital skills are fully embedded throughout the course, using industry standard software to develop confidence in producing reports and programmes.
