Graduate applying degree skills at Manchester City

Football studies graduate James Brayne took a break from work in Manchester City's academy last week to attend his graduation. Named as the League Managers Association student of the year, James secured his role as Under-15/16 performance analyst with a year to go on his degree programme. With support from the course team and the football club, James was able to effectively manage his studies alongside his full-time commitment to the Club, something that the staff at Solent University are used to doing for those students who secure employment with Premier League or Football League clubs before they complete their studies. James said of his degree: "The football studies degree at Solent prepared me for work within the football industry, ensuring I had a skill set appropriate for dealing with the industry's demands. The football studies staff go above and beyond to deliver a great student experience."
