Animate a character with CATRig in 3ds Max

In this session, we look at implementing a CATRig to animate a character in 3ds Maz. The CATRig is the hierarchy that defines skeletal animation systems. It is a fast, sophisticated, yet flexible character rig accessible to anyone.

Create a sci-fi environment and animate a character using CATRig in 3ds Max

In this session we cover two areas:

  1. Creating a sci-fi environment: students are provided with modular 'building blocks' to construct a unique interior space together with a collection of props and objects with with to decorate the space.
  2. Using a CATRig to animate a character running around in the students' environment. The CATRig is the hierarchy that defines skeletal animation systems. It is a fast, sophisticated, yet flexible character accessible to anyone.

Create a sci-fi environment, model a flying dronebot and animate a character in CATRig 3ds Max

In this session we cover three areas:

  1. Modelling a flying drone using basic modelling techniques in 3ds Max.
  2. Creating a sci-fi environment: students are provided with modular 'building blocks' to construct a unique interior space together with a collection of props and objects with with to decorate the space.
  3. Using a CATRig we animate a character running around in the environment. We also animate the drone along a path to follow the character around the space.
