Biography

Alex completed his first degree in psychology and sociology at Keele University. He gained his teaching qualification - the City & Guilds 7307 Further and Adult Education Teaching Certificate - at Highbury College. He attended Bournemouth University to study MSc Software Engineering. Alex provides technical support for teaching and research by the psychology group, including instruction of students in the use of computer packages and specialist laboratory equipment. He also teaches students to build their own automated research processes using 'off-the-shelf' software, and writes bespoke computer application programs for staff and student research purposes when more specialised functionality is needed. Alex's research interests include human-computer interaction, behavioural aspects of interactive system design, technology design for the disabled.
