Biography

Lawrence graduated from Solent University in 2013 with a BSc in live and studio sound. Having joined as a graduate associate in broadcast and cinema sound, he is now employed as an associate lecturer and research assistant in acoustics, working with the Solent Acoustics team on consultancy tasks and assisting in the delivery of practical sessions to undergraduate students in the areas of acoustics and electro-acoustics. 

He holds an MSc in Applied Acoustics, as well the Institute of Acoustics Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control, and a BSA (British Society of Audiology) Certificate in Otoscopy and Impression-taking. Lawrence is also an associate member (AMIOA) of the Institute of Acoustics.

Lawrence was recently awarded the prize for best presentation at the Institute of Acoustics Southern Branch conference.

Taught courses
