Biography

Louis brings a wealth of industry experience having worked in national and international performance structures, providing strategic and long-term planning for management of elite athletes. Louis has an extensive background in player development structures from elite youth to senior level in football. He holds a UEFA coaching licence and the FA Fitness Trainers Award. Louis has been employed in a variety of roles within professional football clubs, including head of sport science, head of strength and conditioning, lead analyst and coach at AFC Bournemouth, Crystal Palace FC, Southampton FC, and Portsmouth FC respectively.

Louis also draws on personal experiences from multiple sports as a conditioning coach with the English Institute of Sport. He was responsible for optimising training programmes and maximising performance in competition of springboard and platform divers on UK Sport's World Class Programme at both the 2010 Delhi XIX Commonwealth Games, and the London 2012 Olympic Games. Louis continues to practice and works with domestic and world championship boxers.

Louis completed his MSc in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics at the University of Chichester before returning as a lecturer in performance analysis, teaching on the successful post-graduate programme. He is also in the process of attaining his professional doctorate in ‘Perception, efficacy, and impact of performance solutions on Professional Football Clubs’. An ISPAS accredited performance analyst (applied pathway), Louis continues to build an impressive portfolio of consultancy, having worked as a match analyst for ProZone; the pioneering football analytics company, Nike, Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby, Aldershot Town FC, and Battens Boxing Gym.
