Biography

Lynsey is course leader for the adventure and outdoor management programme and lectures across events, tourism, outdoor and sports programmes. She was originally from Gloucestershire and has worked across the southwest throughout her industry and educational career in Bristol, Swindon, Weymouth and Southampton.

Lynsey took a less conventional route into higher education, choosing first to seek employment experience at an operational and management level within a wide range of sport, leisure and community fields. She later studied part-time and graduated in 2000 with a First Class BA (Hons) in Leisure Management with Human Resource from the University of Gloucestershire. During her educational experiences, Lynsey achieved a further Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Oxford Brookes University and an MA in Education at Plymouth University. She is currently studying for a Doctorate of Education with the University of Southampton.  

She has a range of industry related qualifications and memberships across a range of professional bodies including the HEA (Senior Fellow), Institute for Learning, National Association for Primary Education, British Mountaineering Council, Mountain Leader Training England, British Canoe Union and British Orienteering Federation.
