Dr Richard Elliott is Head of the Football Performance and Participation programme, Associate Professor and Director of the Lawrie McMenemy Centre for Football Research.

He holds degrees from King Alfred's College, Winchester (BA Hons, 1st class), the University of Leicester (MSc) and Loughborough University (PhD). His expertise lies in the areas of globalisation and migration in football. He is the co-editor of Football and Migration: Perspectives, places, players (Routledge, 2014) and editor of The English Premier League: A socio-cultural analysis (Routledge, 2017).

Richard has worked in conjunction with the Football Association, Premier League, League Managers Association, Professional Footballers' Association and a number of professional clubs. He also provides expert analysis for the media, appearing in print, and on radio and television.
