I began my professional career as a trainer/teacher, in 1992 working in the Department of Health & Social Security. I attained a degree in professional training and development, with Leeds Metropolitan University in 2006.
Then, after a change of career I joined a mental health and community services NHS Trust, in 2008.
I am an experienced teacher in health and social care and spent seven years as a facilitator in lifelong learning.
My specialisms were communications, management skills and customer service/patient care as well as teaching on clinically-based subjects - CRT, dementia awareness and introduction to psychosis.
I am currently studying for an MSc in Public Health at Bournemouth University.
