Alison is a former student of the University where she studied the LLB Law course for three years. After graduating she went on to work for the Department for Work and Pensions in Southampton.
In order to pursue a career in the legal sector, Alison studied for a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law, Guildford. After completing the legal practice course, Alison was employed as a trainee solicitor for Knight Polson, Solicitors in Eastleigh, and following two years' training she qualified as a solicitor specialising in employment and civil litigation.
In 2007 Alison took a career break to travel, and visited the USA, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and South East Asia. After returning to the UK, she went back to work specialising in employment law and HR advice.
Alison is currently employed by local firm Coffin Mew where she advises businesses in the area and is actively involved in the local business community.
