Biography
Andrea is an associate lecturer in HR within the University's Faculty of Business, Law and Digital Technologies with a particular interest in enhancing the student experience.
Prior to joining Solent University Andrea worked in both the private and public sectors, holding HR and management qualifications. Andrea has vast experience in managing staff and has been heavily involved in the recruitment and selection process, and induction and training of staff.
Having taught HR modules within the faculty for the past 10 years, being module leader and also delivering modules via blended learning, Andrea strives to help students achieve unit learning outcomes and personal development goals.
Andrea’s qualifications include an MA in business studies, a BA (Hons) in business studies, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Foundation certificate PRINCE2 and Google Analytics.
Further information
Prior to joining Solent University, Andrea spent seven years at Christchurch Borough Council where she was an environmental administrator responsible for web page design, minute taking, organising and running events and playing an important role in the Council gaining Investor in People status.
Andrea also worked at David Lloyd Leisure as a duty manager and club/regional health and safety officer. During her time here she ran the club and was responsible for managing and training staff, dealing with customers and ensuring health and safety compliance.
