William Zoppellini

Biography

Will gained a degree in sports studies from Solent University, and shortly after went on to achieve an MSc in Sports Performance from the University of Portsmouth.

With over 15 years’ experience in educating and coaching children, Will started out working in the sports development sector facilitating projects to improve participation in children, adults and special populations. He went on to working in schools teaching physical education and wider school sport. He has also coached National League Basketball at the junior level for girls and boys.

Will has also gained a postgraduate certificate in teaching and learning and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is dedicated to the improvement of education in children and is passionate about developing future industry practitioners. Currently, Will is undertaking a PhD in the development of growth mindset in children through physical education.

Will teaches across the BA (Hons) Physical Education and BA (Hons) Sports Coaching and Sport Development degrees, as well as the MA in Youth Sport and Physical Education. He leads on the Applied Practice in Physical Education and Coaching Children and Young Performers units. Additionally, he teaches across the child development strand of the course that utilises his practical experience and knowledge of child development. Will is also the level 4 leader on the BA (Hons) Physical Education degree.
