Course overview

This course supports you to develop the knowledge and skills required to start a career in the construction industry at supervisory level.

Problem solving skills, professional communication, and use of industry standard equipment and software are embedded throughout, ensuring you are well prepared for your future career upon graduation. 

Throughout the course you'll study a range of exciting modules including; Technology of Buildings and Innovating the Construction Project, whilst benefiting from studying in our industry-standard facilities including the state-of-the-art teaching and learning building, The Spark, and the Construction Materials Lab. 

To enable you to put what you learn into context, the course has close links with the industry. This has meant that students have had the opportunity to work on live project briefs and visit a number of active sites to interact with the construction project team. Academics also regularly draw on their vast industry experience throughout their teaching, enabling you to learn from real-life scenarios.

Who is this course for?

This course is primarily aimed at those who are interested in the day to day practicalities of managing works packages on a development, or smaller projects on their own and are looking to develop their career.

With opportunities to study alongside other professionals on a part-time basis, this construction management programme will support you as you develop your knowledge and build the practical skills required for advanced industry roles.
