The criminology course at Solent was amazing! It sounds cliché, but it honestly changed my life.

For the first time in education, I felt that I was truly taught how to learn and shown how to seek and apply knowledge in the right ways; I had a hidden level of intellectual curiosity that this course unleashed. The skills and guidance I received from the lecturers were second to none and have helped me hugely in the working world.

Not only was the course eye-opening, but it was exceptionally interesting. It was varied and covered many emerging areas of criminology, and always kept up with new developments and technologies. The lecturers were always coming up with innovative ways of teaching and sparking discussions based on current affairs, which kept everyone engaged.

One of the best things about the course was that the lecturers were genuinely passionate about their subject and your learning.

If you had ideas and thoughts, you were heard out and if there was a debate to be had, it was always in a respectful way and helped with our learning. They were always there to lend a hand, point you in the right direction, and help you out when needed.

I owe a lot to Simon, Esther, Mark and the team and would highly recommend this course for anyone considering a career within policing, the criminal justice system, and those interested in the psychology, sociology, history and future of crime.
