Students studying at Solent University have access to a dedicated careers and employability service - Solent Futures. We offer a range of services and can help put you in the best possible position to pursue your dream career.
While you're studying we can support you with finding part-time work, volunteering experience and placements. We can check your CV, LinkedIn and applications, as well as offering one-to-one guidance appointments.
Why not apply for a campus job where you could find part-time work and experience on campus? These roles are advertised on Solent Futures Online where we also advertise opportunities outside of Solent, including part-time vacancies to fund you while you study, work experience and graduate opportunities. Solent Futures Online also offers advice on looking for work and many other useful tips.
Look out for our employer events, which take place throughout the year, including our annual Job and Placement Fair where you can meet around 90 employers. Details can be found on the Portal.
If you're looking to do freelance work or set up a business, we offer practical help and workshops to help you. Did you know that through Solent Futures you can pitch for business start-up funding and business support? Get in touch to find out more.
Come and see the Solent Futures team at our drop in desk from 11am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. You'll find us in the Reginald Mitchell building (RM001), near the shop and the Student Hub.
