CIM commends Solent students
For the second year running, part-time professional marketing students at Southampton Solent University have picked up a top accolade.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has commended them for their excellent performance in the ‘What is Marketing?’ unit of the CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing, which they completed in December 2013.
The CIM certificate is an industry recognised qualification which runs parallel to the BA (Hons) Marketing degree.
Sarah Dunlop, Senior Lecturer in Marketing and CIM Course Leader says: “I am delighted the students have repeated the success of last year, they should be congratulated for their hard work and deserve this recognition from CIM’s Awarding Body.
“Fitting in their studies around full and part-time jobs can be challenging, which makes this commendation all the more impressive.”
The CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing at Southampton Solent University is for all those who want to find out more about marketing – whether you’re in a job that involves marketing or not. It answers the question: “What is marketing?” It also aims to develop knowledge and skills for people who are working to support others in basic marketing tasks.
