Football students celebrating another successful year

Football students celebrating another successful year

It's been another tremendously successful year for Solent University's football programme.

Once again, Solent graduates are leading the way in securing roles that will support the professional game. Southampton FC, Norwich City FC, Charlton FC, Crystal Palace FC, Barnet FC, Leicester City FC and AFC Bournemouth have all employed Solent graduates this year. Beyond the clubs, other graduates have gone on to work in a range of roles that support the professional industry in a number of ways.

Those students still studying have, once again, been exposed to a range of excellent guest speakers including former Premier League players and managers, Premier League club chairmen, senior figures in youth development and leading journalists. They've also been involved in a number of football-based projects in Southampton, have gained hundreds of coaching hours working for professional and grassroots clubs, have become equality and diversity aware with Kick It Out, and have helped to deliver an international football conference that attracted speakers from around the world. Many will now use their skills in foreign climes during the summer, returning relaxed and refreshed and ready for another year.
