Solent University’s creative industries end-of-year shows return
Students from the Faculty of Creative Industries, Architecture and Engineering at Solent University, Southampton launched their stunning final-year work at the summer degree shows on Friday 10 June.
The exhibitions, part of a series of end-of-year degree shows being hosted on campus for the first time since 2019, will remain on display for visitors until Thursday 16 June 2022 at the University’s Spark and Below Bar building, Southampton.
This end-of-year celebration gives final-year students from the creative industries the opportunity to showcase their final major projects - from courses including fine art, fashion design, graphic design, illustration, beauty, architecture, photography, and interior design - to industry professionals, family, friends, and the local community.
Professor Peter Lloyd, Dean of Solent’s Faculty of the Creative Industries, Architecture & Engineering says: “It is wonderful to return to in-person end of year degree shows to celebrate the incredible final projects produced by the students as they complete their studies and start their professional journeys. The resilience shown by our students through such a challenging time has been inspirational and the work being showcased is the result of the commitment to their goals.
“We are so proud of this year’s cohort and very pleased to be sharing the work that our aspiring creatives have produced.”
