Friday 12 June 2026, The Spark
The Southampton Solent University Student Conference is your opportunity to present your research, network with peers, and engage with academics and professionals across the different disciplines and schools at Solent University. The conference is open to all Solent students, including undergraduates, apprentices and postgraduate students (master’s and doctoral). Solent alumni who have recently graduated are also invited to showcase applied research, creative practice, and industry-linked projects.
Whether your research is complete or still in development, this conference provides a supportive environment to share your ideas and gain valuable feedback. If your research is completed, we encourage you to submit it for a 20-minute presentation or a poster. In-development research projects can also be presented as a poster.

Conference theme
Under the theme 'Connecting knowledge: Collaboration across disciplines', the conference recognises that today’s most complex global challenges require solutions that transcend traditional academic boundaries.
The event will bring together students from across all schools to demonstrate how collaborative thinking enhances innovation, research quality, and societal impact. We welcome contributions from undergraduates, apprentices, postgraduates, doctoral students, and recent alumni.
Why participate
You'll have the opportunity to share and discuss your research in a professional environment that allows you to receive feedback from experts. You'll also be able to network with peers, academic mentors, and business and industry leaders. You'll be inspired by keynote speakers from industry/academia who will share transformational ideas and concepts.
The 2026 conference will position Solent students as collaborative problem-solvers and future-ready professionals.
