About the course

Specifically designed for international students seeking to progress from their taught diplomas, this top-up course provides the opportunity to turn your existing qualification into a full UK bachelor's degree. You'll study a curriculum that is tailored to international students, improving your understanding of built environment roles and their applications within the construction industry.

Students will benefit from a challenging programme of study based on processes used within the construction industry. Students will also have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of either construction management or architectural technology by picking from two unique routes of study.

Students will study the core theories associated with construction technology, design and project management, as well as building business and marketing skills to help write business plans and formulate marketing strategies.

By working on industry projects and case-studies, students will have the opportunity to apply their technical knowledge and practical skills to real workplace scenarios. Students also learn a range of transferable skills such as communication, resilience, self-awareness and teamwork - further preparing them to work in a professional environment.

Overseas students will be well supported as they adapt to life as a student in the UK, benefitting from regular contact with both a student ‘buddy’ and an allocated course tutor. We will identify students’ skills and knowledge and provide them with tailored support throughout the year.
