Biography

Rebecca is a senior lecturer in health and exercise sciences and has been at Solent University since 2008.

She received her degree in Biomedical Science from Southampton University in 2000. She studied for her PGCE in Post Compulsory Education at Portsmouth University in 2004.

Rebecca has specialised in teaching sports massage to students across many of the University's health and exercise science courses, and in 2018 she began teaching human anatomy and physiology on the Biomedical Science course.

Rebecca is also a passionate dance teacher and teaches weekly classes in modern jive.

Rebecca spent 15 years as a private healthcare practitioner specialising in sports massage, sports injury rehabilitation and corrective exercise, establishing her own clinic in 2002. Alongside the soft tissue work, she utilised her skills as a complementary therapy practitioner in kinesiology by treating allergies, food intolerances and digestive dysfunction.
