The BA (Hons) Fashion Management with Marketing is a practice-led, data-driven programme dedicated to merging rigorous business understanding with immediate real-world application, ensuring you graduate not just industry-ready, but industry-shaping. We are focused on cultivating the next generation of strategic business leaders who possess the commercial acumen, analytical rigour, and ethical foresight necessary to drive sustainable value and transformative change across the global fashion ecosystem.

This degree provides you with a comprehensive and systematic understanding of strategic management, advanced marketing strategy (accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing), and financial analytics required to lead a fashion enterprise in a highly competitive global market.

You will also develop advanced skills in data literacy, forecasting, and problem-solving, equipping you to analyse complex business problems and formulate robust, data-driven strategies for future growth and profitability

You'll gain a practice-led connection between theory and application through our student-led retail outlet, Re:So, real world, live briefs and guaranteed micro placements, enabling you to gain essential operational experience in business planning, financial control, and stakeholder communication.

Meet the team

The course team consists of industry professionals and experienced academics who have backgrounds within the fashion industry. The team has a wealth of contacts and experience in branding, buying, merchandising, and marketing for major fashion brands, all of which enhances the student learning experience.

The University cannot guarantee any particular members of staff will teach specific aspects of the course in the future, but will endeavour to ensure the teaching team maintains their balance of experience and qualifications.

Facilities

All fashion students have the opportunity to use the photography studios, IT suites, cameras, media equipment, and specialist rooms within Solent’s media academy. You’ll also have access to an extensive range of fashion, forecasting, marketing, retail and media publications within the library.

Solent also has its own student run store Re:So, where you can gain hands on experience of many aspects of the fashion business.
