Jomo joined the communication engineering subject group in 2002.
He has obtained a Maitrise de Physique from the University of Paris VII and an MSc in telecommunication and information systems from the University of Essex in 1997.
He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an elected Member of the British Computer Society and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
His current main academic interests are in signal analysis, cloud computing, wireless and mobile communications and networking, also to promote student independent learning to enhance employability.
His other interests include travelling, playing basketball, swimming and reading science fiction.
Jomo teaches on courses within the computer networking programme and is a member of the computing team.
Jomo has previously held several responsibilities in industry, including roles as a senior development engineer for Datakinetics and Intel, and West-Europe and Africa channel manager for Inet. His consulting experience includes internetworking, personal coaching, and English to French technical translation.
