Biography

Jomo joined Solent University in 2002.

He obtained his MaƮtrise de Physique from the University of Paris VII (France), his MSc in Telecommunication and Information Systems from the University of Essex (UK) and his PhD from Nottingham Trent University (UK).

He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Member of the British Computer Society and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

His current main academic interests are in Cloud Computing, Internet of Things and Networking, as well as into addressing diversity inclusion in education and employment, in particular neurodiversity, promoting students independent learning to enhance their personal development and employability, supporting students with high intellectual potential and raising awareness on the needs of students and staff on the Autism spectrum.

His other interests include cycling, swimming, permaculture and science fiction.

Jomo is a member of the computing team.

    Jomo has extensive industry experience, including roles as a senior development engineer for Datakinetics and Intel working on SS7 protocols and standards, and West-Europe and Africa Channel Manager with Inet for the sale of telecommunication network test equipment. His consulting experiences includes internetworking, personal coaching, and English to French technical translation.
