April Stroud joined Solent University in 1995. She has undertaken a variety of functions within the University from admissions to operations and is currently Senior Lecturer in Law and Course Leader of the LLB.
A published author, April specialises in land law. The fifth edition of her book Making Sense of Land Law was published in 2018 and has received excellent reviews on Amazon from students. April also won the Law Teacher of the Year 2005 award based on her book.
She sat on the Council of The Property Ombudsman for eight years and on its Committees.
April has a background in market research and marketing.
April teaches in the areas of land law, equity and trusts, regulation and skills based modules. She is an external examiner and has been a link tutor for other universities.
