Charlie Gambrill

Charlie Gambrill, Lecturer

Biography

Charlie is a former student of Solent University and graduated with a first-class degree in Adventure and Outdoor Management before moving on to complete a master's in Youth Sport and Physical Education. Charlie has a background in youth work, having spent several years working as a frontline support worker, as well as a project leader and lead youth worker.

Charlie has a range of practical outdoor based qualifications as well as years of academic underpinning and real-life application. He is currently looking to start work on PhD. His research interests include outdoor education, mental health and wellbeing, motivation and the impact of outdoor experiences on mental health.

His personal hobbies include mountaineering, trail running, boardsports and cycling.

Charlie has been an NCS team leader and has previously worked as a youth worker and a lead youth worker.
