Biography

Emma is a freelance lecturer, researcher and project manager. Formerly an economic development professional, she changed career direction in 2007. Her love of motorsport led her to Silverstone where she worked as a development manager before becoming their education manager. In this role, she created specialist programmes with local schools, colleges and universities. Collaborations led to some great projects coming to fruition to contribute to all areas of Silverstone’s business.

Since 2013, Emma has worked more extensively in the education sector where she regularly lectures at a number of UK and international universities. She teaches and guest lectures on a wide range of sports business, sports marketing and sports events topics. Emma is a module leader and lecturer for the National Motorsport Academy’s Business of Motorsport master's degree.

An avid motorsport fan, Emma is slowly ticking off the bucket list of Formula 1 Grand Prix events she wants to attend. Her other big love is dancing, and she occasionally appears in amateur dance shows. She has written articles, blog posts, race reviews and F1 travel columns for various F1 fan and travel sites.
