Irma is an industry experienced practitioner; she has worked in advertising and publishing for over 10 years. After studying fine arts and photography/media arts, Irma began a career as an art director in one of the major advertising agencies in Lithuania. She then worked as a design editor and book designer for one of Lithuania’s major publishers, and has created over 100 book covers, mainly for youth and teenage literature.
Irma was design editor of the National Geographic Lithuania magazine for five years.
Fascinated by the opportunities the digital world gives creative initiatives – both authentic and commercial, Irma aims to practically research the methods of educating creativity facing those digital opportunities.
Before coming to Solent University, Irma taught at the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Faculty of Creative Industries, in Lithuania.
Irma has extensive experience of work within the creative and publishing industries.
