Role at Solent

Caroline is director of policy and information, and is responsible for institutional information and analysis, working closely with the Vice-Chancellor's Group. Her department manages the National Student Survey and the Destination of Leavers of Higher Education survey on behalf of the University.

Caroline and her team work collaboratively with academic and support staff colleagues to ensure that the data they produce is accessible, understandable and useful; undertake quantitative and qualitative research and analysis with students and staff, largely within the University; and try to ensure that the campaigns it leads take an innovative approach that will encourage students and staff to engagement.


Caroline's earlier roles have included head of quality management; a secondment as strategy policy adviser to the principal, and policy adviser at UUK. She is an experienced member of external review panels and has worked for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), and internationally for the European Universities Association.

Caroline is a member of the University's senior management team and a full member of many of its academic and management committees.
