Head of Television and Sound

Faculty of Business, Law and Digital Technologies

Stuart is the head of subject for the TV and sound subject group at Solent University, overseeing a range of courses which underpin the creative and technical roles in the media and broadcast industries.

Stuart joined Solent in January 2007 and took on the course leadership later that year. Since arriving in Southampton, he has produced a promotional DVD for a local business which has been updated each year. In 2011 he executive produced a documentary about a band recording at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios and recently completed a Skillset MA unit in Developing Cross Platform Projects at Goldsmith’s Media Academy.

The charity was supported by all the major broadcasters. Initially employed as head of facilities, Stuart later took on the roles of head of training and production and developed credit bearing courses and supervised a wide range of productions.

Previously, Stuart taught at Sandwell College in the West Midlands. He was involved in developing the television technology degree at the University of Central England and jointly ran HND courses with University of Salford.

He has worked on a huge range of productions in the corporate, training, sell-through and broadcast sectors.
