Biography
Andy is a computer scientist, sound designer, author and a pioneer in the field of procedural audio. He has a degree in computer science and electronic engineering from University College London and specialises in digital audio signal processing. He has worked as a sound effects programmer for BBC radio and television, and as a programmer on server-side applications for product search and data storage.
Andy is a visiting professor at several European Universities and a consultant to game and audio technology companies. His book, ‘Designing Sound‘, is one of the leading texts on procedural sound design. Andy was also on the UK executive committee of the Audio Engineering Society from 2015-2017.
