Biography

Ellie Kilburn is a lecturer on the BA Graphic Design course where she is module leader for the Level 6 Final Major Project, and Level 5 lead tutor. She has a degree in Graphic and Media Design with Illustration from the London College of Printing (now the London College of Communication) and a master's degree in Visual Communication from Central Saint Martins specialising in Graphic Design and Typography, with a final major project focus on game playing and the creative process.

Ellis is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, member of the Ephemera Society Council, and external examiner for the BA Graphic Communication course at the University of South Wales.

She continues her professional practice as a graphic designer and artist (most recently having been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition) outside of her teaching hours and brings that working knowledge with her back into the studio.

Ellie’s areas of interest are linking the course industry at a local, national and international level.
