Francis Beckett

Course Leader


Francis has been a Registered Mental Health Nurse for over 20 years, with NHS clinical and senior management experience across a range of mental health settings from primary care to forensic provision.

His academic Interests are in the subject areas of International relations and health, psychological anthropology and internationalisation of nurse education. Recent public health projects include embedding mental health first aid across pre-registered nursing programmes and capacity building in community mental health literacy.

Francis is currently working towards a PhD with research in the area of masculinities and nursing.

Francis has worked in crisis intervention and acute psychiatry, as well as senior management of inpatient and community services.
