Biography
Lisa is a senior lecturer in tourism and course leader for tourism and cruise undergraduate programmes at Solent University. She worked in the tourism industry before entering the teaching profession. She is a qualified guide for the Heart of England and is currently completing a PhD relating to the role of tour guides.
As well as supervising undergraduate dissertations, Lisa is currently teaching on the following units:
- Introduction to tourism.
- The management of visitor attractions.
- Natural and cultural heritage tourism.
- Contemporary issues in tourism.
- International tourism research skills.
Further information
Lisa has experience as a tourism information officer for a local authority. Her tourism industry experience also includes a number of years as a tour manager for tour operators taking groups of tourists around the world on touring holidays.
