Biography

Mohammed's current role as a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Business, Law and Digital Technologies involves delivering seminars and lectures across a variety of computer science and IT units. This has provided him with extensive experience teaching undergraduate levels, which he finds extremely valuable and highly enjoyable. He enjoys motivating and communicating with students and finds it very rewarding helping them to achieve their potential.

Mohammed is an active researcher in the School of Media Arts and Technology and is a UX consultant engaged in investigating management information systems; eGovernment implementation; and technologies which have an impact on people, organisations and society. He has keen interests in applied inter-disciplinary research, where the theoretical framework of his computer science research is applied to real-world problems.

Mohammed has been working as a UX and digital marketing consultant. He has over 10 years’ experience in creating user friendly, usable and delightful digital experiences. He has a unique skill set of design strategy, interaction design, user research, information architecture and content strategy, user interface design, and usability testing. Mohammed leads clients and project teams from uncertainty to clarity by setting a direction that combines user, business, and development needs and goals. His contribution and UX interdisciplinary research skills has led digital projects to immense commercial success. With a UX proven track record, he has worked in government, business and education projects.

Currently, Mohammed is involved in designing UX and digitalisation strategies incorporating cutting edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, AR/VR, big data, and emotional review to enable acceleration in economic growth and improving the quality of citizens' lifestyle in areas such as smart government, smart cities, smart education and smart business.
