The international advice team is here to support you throughout your studies and to help you to get the most out of student life.
We can provide information, advice and guidance on a wide range of issues including visas and immigration, life in the UK and employment. We can also help with any worries or questions you may have prior to arriving in the UK.
The international advice team work with colleagues across the University to:
- provide free advice and guidance relating to all aspects of international student life, in accordance with the competency framework of the Immigration Services Commissioner’s Code of Practice;
- deliver presentations and workshops on a range of practical issues;
- update students on relevant issues through various University publications, information leaflets and online services, and co-ordinate the international welcome programme for new students.
International alumni ambassadors
Our team of international alumni ambassadors are here to answer any questions future international students may have about studying at Solent and living in Southampton. They will give a unique insight into life as a Solent student, drawing on their own experiences.
The international alumni ambassadors are volunteers and are recent graduates of the University. Meet this year’s ambassadors.
If you have a question you would like to ask our ambassadors, please email email@example.com and we will put you in contact with one of the team. Where possible, we will put you in contact with an ambassador from your home country.
If you are graduating from Solent this year and would like to volunteer as an international alumni ambassador, please click here to register your interest and we will get in touch with further information.
