Every screen – mobile, TV, film and cinema – contains animation, and if you love bringing characters to life, using hand-drawn traditional animation styles through to stop-motion and CGI, you can become a highly trained and multidisciplined animation professional.

    BSc (Hons) Computer Games Programming and Design

    Want to turn your creative ideas into market-ready games? Work with gaming industry professionals in specialist facilities to gain hands-on design and programming skills and studio experience.

    BA (Hons) Digital and Game Art (Top-up)

    Draw upon your previous studies and explore your interests to develop your own specialism within the wide subject area of digital art, including game art, in this career-driven top-up degree.

    Facilities

    Our industry standard facilities means you can work to professional standards, build you portfolio and get the skills you need to be ready for industry.

    For CGI, VFX and digital arts you can take advantage of: the virtual production studio, with green-screen and Mo-Sys tracking facilities; our in-house Dolby Atmos cinema; a specialist media production store with access to thousands of cameras and other items; computer suites with dedicated high-spec PCs and industry-standard software; a motion capture suite; Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, HTC Vive and Microsoft HoloLens VR/AR equipment; Shotgun for asset management; a portable green-screen; HDRI chrome/grey balls; a portable Faro LIDAR scanner, Insta 360 Cameras; and 3D printing. For animation, our industry-standard facilities include traditional light-boxes, special effects workshops and green-screen rooms. Students are also given free access to the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and a full suite of Autodesk software.
