With over 70 years of serving the maritime industry, our Warsash Maritime School is a world-renowned provider of maritime education and training at every level, from officer cadets to senior seafarers.

You will find former Warsash cadets everywhere in the maritime industry, from Singapore to the Scilly Isles. Helming ferries. Piloting tugs. Transporting cargo across the globe. Captains, master mariners, harbourmasters ... senior seafarers around the world started their careers with a Warsash deck cadetship.

With your course fees paid by a sponsoring company, you’ll combine expert training from our teaching staff – mostly made up of current or former seafarers from diverse maritime backgrounds – with periods at sea, putting your training into practice and getting unbeatable experience on a wide range of potential vessels.

With the foundation of a great career as a deck officer in the merchant navy, you can rise through the ranks aboard ship, or move to a shore-side role in maritime or related industries – everything from commercial to operations management, port management, accident investigation, maritime insurance, and more.

We’ve invested more than £43 million in maritime training facilities over the last few years, and we continue to improve and update our facilities to keep them at the cutting edge.
